Posted by admin on February 10, 2019
ARDMORE, Okla. – If you were to compare MLF pro Brandon Palaniuk’s performance in the final period of Sudden Death Round 2 of the 2019 Major League Fishing Summit Select to other sports, you could come up with analogies a’plenty: Hail Mary pass. Home run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Three-pointer at the buzzer.
On a day of unsettled, mercurial weather on Lake Texoma, Palaniuk – who has shown a flair for the dramatic throughout his professional fishing career – one-upped even himself. After spending the majority of the day mired well below the target weight needed advance to the Championship Round, Palaniuk connected on a jerkbait bite that put six fish on SCORETRACKER in 42 minutes. THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER is full of history from it's headwaters all the way to the gulf. Pools 7,8,9 and myself have some history here from 2013 where I made a culling infraction and ended up have my weight zeroed for the day. If you love frog blow ups and big hook sets you're going to want to watch this!
LAKE OAHE is by far one of the most interesting and challenging smallmouth fisheries the Bassmaster Elite Series has ever fished. With so many unknowns anything here is possible!

Not This Year SabineThe Sabine River has not treated Brandon Palaniuk well in the past. So launching on Saturday with the top 50 was a welcome change.
